General Description:

CryoR's tactical JT cryocoolers deliver precision cooling solutions engineered for the most demanding field operations. Our design and manufacturing capabilities allow us to provide miniature JT cold heads, which are based either on finned tubes f or tube-in-tube recuperators.JT cold heads are vibration-free, don’t emit heat, and proven ruggedness—making them ideal for tactical platforms where reliability, miniaturization, and minimal maintenance are mission-critical. Our JT cryocoolers can operate in open cycle, where pressurized refrigerants are supplied from bottles, or in closed cycle, where mixed refrigerants are circulated by a compressor.

Both open-cycle and closed-cycle Joule-Thomson configurations are available, with options for interchangeable cold heads, variable flow control, and customizable thermal interfaces to match specific heat loads. Cold head geometry, inlet/outlet positioning, and mounting hardware can be adapted for integration in space-limited enclosures or unconventional orientations without performance degradation. Compressor units can be supplied in standard rack-mount, ruggedized portable, or fully embedded formats, supporting diverse power inputs including 24 VDC vehicle supplies and 115/230 VAC ground systems. This flexibility ensures optimal performance while maintaining minimal SWaP and simplifying system integration.
